Pokémon that are Poison- or Steel-type or have the Ability Immunity are unable to be poisoned, but Pokémon with Corrosion are still able to poison Poison- and Steel-types. Pokémon who hold a Toxic Orb can also inflict the status condition on themselves when they pass a turn. Tiles such as the water found in Caustic Sewers or a Poison Trap can poison a Pokémon who is not immune to it if traveled over. If a Pokémon is poisoned, it will not take damage if another team member moves around the floor/map. An afflicted Pokémon will not take damage from using moves or items. Poisoned Pokémon will take damage every 5 tiles they've moved. Pokémon that are Electric-type or have the Ability Limber are unable to be paralyzed. Pokémon who hold a Static Orb or eat a Stun Seed can also inflict the status condition on themselves when they pass a turn. Tiles such as the water found in Voltaic Rainforest or a Static Trap can paralyze a Pokémon who is not immune to it if traveled over. Petrify Orbs will inflict paralysis on every enemy Pokémon that is nearby the user. When paralyzed, a Pokémon will have a 1/5 chance to fail to use attacks or items and is unable to run using inside of dungeons. Pokémon that are Ice-type, have the Ability Magma Armor or are in sunny weather are unable to be frozen. Pokémon who hold a Freeze Orb or eat a Freeze Seed can also inflict the status condition on themselves when they pass a turn. Tiles such as the water found in Deep Winden Forest or a Freeze Trap can freeze a Pokémon who is not immune to it if traveled over. An afflicted Pokémon has a 1/3 chance to become unfrozen every turn, or will be unfrozen when hit by a Fire-type move. When a Pokémon is frozen, it will be unable to move or act, but can still be switched out by another team member. Pokémon with the Ability Heatproof don't take damage from being burned. Pokémon with the Ability Guts will not be affected by the Attack reduction if burned. Pokémon that are Fire-type or have the Ability Water Bubble or Water Veil are unable to be burned. If the Pokémon is capable of traveling on water tiles, stepping onto one will heal its burn if it has one. Pokémon who hold a Flame Orb or eat a Flame Seed can also inflict the status condition on themselves when they pass a turn. Lava tiles, burning water such as the water found in Sauna Cavern, or a Flame Trap will burn a Pokémon who is not immune to it if traveled over. Pokémon cannot be afflicted with non-volatile status conditions if they have the Comatose Ability.Ī Pokémon that is afflicted with a burn will have its Attack stat halved and lose 1/16 of its max HP when it takes a turn. Pokémon with Hydration, Shed Skin or Natural Cure can heal their non-volatile status condition without items. A Pokémon may only have one non-volatile status condition at a time. The non-voltaile status condition of a Pokémon will also be shown in the team panel. When a ghost-type Pokemon uses the move Curse, the target will receive the Cursed status effect which takes damage equivalent to 1/4 of its Maximum HP every turn.Non-volatile status conditions are bad conditions that will stay with the afflicted Pokémon until properly healed, like by eating a Berry that heals the respective condition, through using moves like Refresh, Heal Bell, etc. Has 100% Chance to Inflict Poison with a Contact MoveĪ Pokemon with the Infatuation status effect is unable to attack 50% of the time even against the other Pokemon it is attracted to.
